We launched the YVI Book Club & Merit Badge with this book, which presents the stories of several residents of an inner city Cleveland neighborhood who create an urban garden.

While it does not focus on animals, this book illustrates the importance of community – which is what we want to build among book club participants!

1ST YVI BOOK CLUB & MERIT BADGE PROGRAM ZOOM CALL – October 29, 2022

Eighth-graders from HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL in Chicago, IL joined this call to discuss their reading assignment, the Seedfolks Character Chart, with book club educators.  They tested their knowledge of the story through an exciting game of Kahoot!
