For the first time in its short history, WIF has accepted an intern during the academic year!
Elizabeth Adamo is a Ph. D. candidate in the Department of History at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her dissertation title is “Feminizing the African Diaspora in France, 1974-1994” and her work combines her interests in Modern Europe; Global Women, Gender, and Sexuality; and Colonialism / Post-colonialism and Diaspora.
Liz’s responsibilities as our first Winter / Spring intern include researching a number of topics relevant to African-American Paris, writing blog posts, and reviewing restaurants that university students are likely to frequent. She will be with us for the entire spring semester in 2019.
