WIF is excited to present Sekai Abeni, a rising junior at The Juilliard School, as our 2018 summer intern!
Sekai is a drama major with a keen interest in writing, dance, and visual arts. During her one-month internship, she will focus on writing poetry about historic and contemporary women sculptors and the sculptures they create(d). In conjunction with this attention to women in the arts, she will write a non-fiction piece that explores the state of affairs for women as leaders in today’s art world.
Additionally, Sekai is charged with curating content for the African Diaspora Impact in Paris Facebook group with the intent to develop a community of university students who aspire to study abroad in Paris and around the world.
